Energy from Biomass according to Rottaler Modell

Renewable Energy Centre Mithradham offers one week training programme in Biomass utilisation in cooperation with German universities and industries. The various topics discussed are:

  • The potential of biomass in India
  • Biogas: Preparation, production, cost evaluation, use in motors and vehicles
  • Plant oil:preparation, production
  • plant oil motors
  • resetting old motors to bio-diesel motors
  • Alcohol for vehicles
  • Oil press and bio-diesel motors

The Rottaler Modell is an anaerobic digestion system appropriate for developing and industrialising countries - low investment, high local content, high efficiency.

The Rottaler Modell digestion technology transforms organic waste and biomass into biogas, electricity, heat and organic fertiliser. Decentralised digestion plants guarantee the value adding for the local people.

The Modell has experience for more than 15 years in consulting for regional developing projects and 20 years operating MSW digestion plants also.

In a research project the Rottaler Modell was adopted to an appropriate degestion technology for the southern part of the world.
